The challenge of affordable housing remains central to today’s urban reality, as rapid growth and economic disparity continue to reshape cities. Home within Reach: Affordable Living Solutions was conceived to explore how design can balance cost and quality, redefining dignified living within limited resources.
The competition encouraged participants to rethink conventional housing through affordability, sustainability, and adaptability. The submissions reveal a diverse range of ideas—combining innovative construction, flexible planning, and environmentally responsive systems—highlighting that affordability is not about compromise, but about enhancing everyday life through thoughtful design.
The winning entries demonstrate how architecture can foster social equity and resilience. Offering scalable and context-sensitive solutions, they reaffirm a shared vision: bringing well-designed, dignified housing within reach for all.
