YEARNING TO BREATHE 2025
Editorial reflection
The Yearning to Breathe 2025 design competition invited architects and designers to reimagine the urban home through the principles of biophilic design, exploring how nature can be meaningfully integrated into everyday living. Participants presented innovative solutions that balanced well-being, sustainability, functionality, and architectural expression within the challenges of dense urban environments.
The winning proposals demonstrate the transformative potential of design to reconnect people with nature while creating healthier, more resilient homes. We congratulate all the winners and participants for their creativity and commitment to shaping a more sustainable and restorative future for urban living.
