Martyna Zabłocka is a third-year architecture student at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
She is interested in creating architecture that is thoughtful of both people and the environment, and in exploring how buildings can coexist naturally with their surroundings.
Her approach to design is guided by a desire to create spaces that feel welcoming, encourage interaction, and respond to the different needs of their users. She is particularly drawn to sustainable solutions and to the relationship between architecture, nature, and everyday life.
Martyna believes that architecture has the potential not only to address contemporary challenges, but also to shape more inclusive, responsible, and meaningful environments.

The team consists of four undergraduate architecture students—Sneha Reghunath, Hamna Fathimath PB, Nidhin Raj, and Vivek S. Varghese—from the SCMS School of Architecture, Kerala, who share a common passion for sustainable, context-responsive, and human-centred architecture. United by their interest in exploring innovative design solutions, they collaborated on the Yearning to Breathe 2025 Design Competition, where they investigated the relationship between nature, the built environment, and human well-being through a biophilic design approach.
Working collaboratively throughout the design process, the team combined their individual strengths in research, conceptual development, architectural planning, visualization, and presentation to create a cohesive proposal. Their project reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility, thoughtful spatial design, and creating healthier urban environments that foster meaningful connections between people and nature. Receiving an Honorable Mention from Archiol Competitions is a significant milestone that recognizes their collective creativity, dedication, and belief in architecture as a catalyst for sustainable and positive change.
